THE BENNETT SISTERS MYSTERY SERIES
FRANCE • FAMILY • MYSTERY
Five sisters. All lawyers. One irresistible corner of southwest France. Lise McClendon’s beloved Bennett Sisters Mystery series follows Merle Bennett — a recently widowed New York attorney — as she travels to the Dordogne to restore a stone house her late husband secretly owned. What begins as grief and financial necessity blossoms into adventure, romance, and a deepening love affair with French village life.
Now spanning more than twenty books, the series weaves together cozy mystery, warmhearted family drama, and vivid French settings — from the truffle-rich Périgord to the lavender fields of Provence and Bordeaux’s wine country. Ideal for book clubs, Francophiles, and anyone who’s dreamed of a life in the French countryside.
“Enchanting Series! Fell in love with the characters… Ms. McClendon has the exceptional ability to perform the magic of transporting this reader to a place both familiar and foreign, but known deep down in one’s psyche.”
