On a personal note, I read for the Fact Crime committee this year. It was a weird selection of books, from gangland mobster bios to grocery store gories. And in the end we all agreed on a book about the University of Washington football team and their drug and sex crimes. Very well-written by some Seattle journalists, but not what I expected to win. I am pleased though with the selection, and also honored that my own alma mater published the book. Congrats to all!
